Request for Information 
 
 Dear Sir or Madam, Are Royal Fleet Auxiliary seafarers Civil Servants and if so why 
are their terms and conditions regarding sick pay, pensions and job movement within 
the Civil Service (ie restricted to Royal Fleet Auxiliary appointments only) different to 
that of what we normally think of as Civil Servants in that RFA seafarers cannot move 

positions within the Civil Service as Civil Servants can?
