FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request received on 16 January. You requested a copy of the Market Department's accounts for 2007/8 including a breakdown of the income and expenditure in relation to each of the borough's street markets. Your request has now been considered and I shall answer each of your questions in turn.

I am pleased to attach the latest set of accounts for current financial year detailing the income and a breakdown of the various heads of expenditure for Street Markets in Hackney.

We do not prepare separate accounts for each market in the Borough. We are not required to create new information in response to a Freedom of Information request. Therefore the level of data which you are seeking is not held by the council.

If you are dissatisfied with this response and wish to appeal, please write to the Information Governance Team, Appeals, 6-15 Florfield Road, Hackney London E8 1DTand your complaint will be dealt with through our Internal Review procedure.
