48 hour GP target
Ganesh Sittampalam made this Freedom of Information request to Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust (PCT)
Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) did not have the information requested.
From: Ganesh Sittampalam
21 September 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm trying to find out information about the target for GPs to see
patients within 48 hours. I don't know who is responsible for
monitoring this target, so please let me know who to contact if you
are not the responsible authority.
Firstly, I'd like a copy of whatever statistics you have, for each
practice in the St Neots area (defined however is convenient, for
example the PE19 postcode area would be fine), on success in
meeting the target.
Secondly, I'd like a copy of any procedures or guidance you use for
monitoring the target. I'm particularly interested in how the 48
hours is measured in relation to the time of the first attempt to
book an appointment rather than the time the appointment is
actually booked.
Yours faithfully,
Ganesh Sittampalam

Dear Sharon,
Could you remind them that they are now over a week late and thus
placing your trust in breach of the law?
I'd hoped that the request would be quite easy to answer, but if it
is proving difficult for some reason I'd be happy to discuss if I
could refine it in some way.
Regards,
Ganesh
