Iraqi Women's Internship Programme

The programme came to an end in September 2006, following a two-day evaluation and monitoring meeting in Amman, Jordan for both groups of Iraqi interns. We are looking to publish the programme report in February, which will cover the planning, delivery and evaluation of the programme. One of the Iraqi interns will take part in a meeting in January that the British Council is holding in Amman for the joint Civil Society Fund and the Political Participation Fund projects. (The IWIP is funded by DFID's Civil Society Fund via the British Council.) The meeting will look at human rights, including women's rights, and the positive outcomes of the projects in the Iraqi context.
