As of 17 March 2005

Strategic Aims

1. To effectively influence the political agenda on issues of importance and relevance to women.

2. To develop and actively engage wide-ranging, diverse, and representative stakeholders.

Our Vision

  • A world where all women are able to express their needs and priorities and that government listens and acts so that the needs of all women are at the heart of policy and practice.

  • A world in which all women are able to achieve their potential and live free from harm and discrimination.

  • A world where public policy recognises diversity and equality.

Our Mission

  • Building the capacity of the women's sector to enable all women's voices to be heard effectively.

  • To act as a conduit for those voices and advise and hold Government to account.

  • To promote women's equality.

  • To ensure the views and experiences of as many women as possible are represented to Government to promote equality and effect change.

  • To ensure that women's opinions are taken into account when laws are made and policies decided.

  • To build capacity and seek the views of socially excluded and marginalized women.
