Dear Mr Hansen,

Thank you for your e-mail of 10/12/2008 1:26:40 PM in which you ask about the appointment of auditors for the Internet Watch Foundation.

I regret to inform you that the Home Office does not hold the information that you have requested. The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) is an independent body, and as such is responsible for carrying out any internal reviews and audits. Therefore the decisions on the criteria for selecting the auditors, the selection of the auditors themselves and the objectives of the audit, are a matter for the IWF. The ownership of the report also lies with the IWF.

If you are dissatisfied with this response you may request an independent internal review of our handling of your request by submitting your complaint within two months to the below address quoting reference 10837:
