Complaint : Freedom of Information
Further to your email which was received on the 2nd February 2009 where you requested a review of the handling of your request related to the commercial standing of Leicester City Council.
I have now had the opportunity to investigate this matter and enclose for you the following response.
Your request was received on the 8th December 2008 and therefore a response was due by the 9th January 2009.
Your request was actioned by the appropriate department and a response was prepared within the statutory timescales.
The Council has recently implemented new procedures for sending out request responses and although your request was forwarded for release correctly, unfortunately on the day it was received several others requests were also issued for response.
Sadly it appears that your response was simply missed due to an administrative over sight and for this I can only apologise.
I note that once you had submitted your review, this error was noted and your response was sent out immediately.
