Request for Information
On 24 August 2010 East Riding of Yorkshire Council received your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The information you have requested, along with the Council's response, is set out below.
Details of Request and Response:
I can confirm that the Council holds the information and can allow access. The information is set out below. The Council does not currently make a charge for the information or for disbursements to cover such things as photocopying and postage.
The UK First-Tier Tribunal General Regulatory Chamber [Information Rights] in March 2010 dismissed East Riding of Yorkshire Council's appeal against the Information Commissioners decision of 27 July 2009.
ICO reference EA/2009/0069
I wish to request information under the FOIA:
(i) how much did the tribunal cost East Riding in:
(a) management costs (b) legal costs.
Please provide a financial breakdown for (i) (a) (b).
(a) We are not clear as to what is meant by management costs. If what is meant is the cost of officers involved in the case, the only cost involved was the time of the officers involved in the case. This is not separately recorded.
(b) The figure is £14,981.27. This was the amount paid out in barristers fees.
(ii) how much financial assistance was collected in contributions from:
(a) other Local Authorities
(b) a government body/bodies
(c) any other organisation including community interest companies.
Please provide a financial breakdown for (ii) (a) (b) (c).
There was no financial assistance collected in contributions from other Local Authorities, government bodies or any other organisation including community interest companies.
