Dear Mr Upstone,

Freedom of Information Request - Information Supplied

I am writing with regard to your request for information, which was received on 3rd December 2008.

I can confirm that we have now completed our search for the information which you requested.

H-markings are not associated with traffic regulation orders as they are advisory road markings only. At the present time Catherine Howes is overseeing the H-marking applications and any queries on current procedure or recently laid markings should be directed to her. Catherine can be contacted on 01223 814500.

The marking on Lovell Road was applied for through the proper channels and the appropriate payment was received to cover the cost of installation.

I have attached an information leaflet which explains the process through which white `H' markings are approved and some background information.
