Dear Mr Upstone,
Freedom of Information Request - Information Supplied
I am writing with regard to your request for information, which was received on 3rd December 2008.
I can confirm that we have now completed our search for the information which you requested.
H-markings are not associated with traffic regulation orders as they are advisory road markings only. At the present time Catherine Howes is overseeing the H-marking applications and any queries on current procedure or recently laid markings should be directed to her. Catherine can be contacted on 01223 814500.
The marking on Lovell Road was applied for through the proper channels and the appropriate payment was received to cover the cost of installation.
I have attached an information leaflet which explains the process through which white `H' markings are approved and some background information.

You can also find additional information on our website at: http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/transport/roads/kerbs/markings/
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish either to make a complaint or request a review of our decision, you should write to Helen Maneuf, Head of Audit, Scrutiny and Information Governance, Box RES 1405, Room 307, Shire Hall, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire CB3 0AP.
If you have any queries regarding this letter please contact me, remembering to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
Yours sincerely
Anna Keech
