Dear Mr Johnson
YOUR REQUEST FOR INFORMATION UNDER THE FREEDOM OF
INFORMATION ACT 2000 – FEES NOTICE

I am writing regarding your request for information which was received on 30
November 2008. You requested information relating to community first responders.

I can confirm that the Trust holds information falling within the description specified in
your request although it does not hold historical data from the date when schemes
were founded; this is only held for approximately 3 years. However it ism estimated
that the cost of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit of
£450. This limit has been specified in regulations for public bodies other than central
government. This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 2.5 working
days in determining whether the Trust holds the information and locating, retrieving
and extracting the information. Under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act
the Trust is not obliged to comply

It may be that if you were to make a new request for a more narrow category of
information, it may be that the Trust could comply with that request within the
appropriate limit although I cannot guarantee that this will be the case. It may help if I
outline a possible way of narrowing your request. The Trust could provide information
on operational areas and the number of volunteers.

If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me.

If you are unhappy with the service that you have received in relation to your request
and wish to make a complaint or to request a review of this decision, you should write
to Mr John Burnside who is the Chief Executive of the Trust and he is based at Trust
Headquarters.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply directly to
the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally the Commissioner cannot

make a decision unless you have exhausted the above process. The Commissioner
can be contacted at-

Yours sincerely
