Please find enclosed the performance data for first class and second class mail that you 
requested under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. 
 
You will be aware that Royal Mail had decided to appeal the Information Commissioner's 
decision ordering it to release this information to the Information Rights Tribunal. 
 
In the course of preparing for that appeal it has come to light that some of the information 
in question had previously been published by Postcomm.  In light of this Royal Mail has now 
decided to release the information and withdraw its appeal.  We have informed the Tribunal 
and Information Commissioner's Office accordingly.
