Dear Ms Fuller
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST F0003987
I am writing in response to your e-mail of 30th July requesting a copy of our `Legal Team Structure chart' and asking to be advised `how many positions if any are held by interim/agency workers'.
Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and I can confirm that the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) holds the information that you have requested. Enclosed is an organisation chart detailing the structure of the legal team at CLG. I can confirm that no positions are held by interim/agency workers.
The names of staff below the Senior Civil Service have been withheld under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, since disclosure would be likely to breach the first part of the first Data Protection Principle as set out in the Data Protection Act 1998: namely that it would be unfair to disclose to a member of the public the names of individuals below the Senior Civil Service who do not have public facing roles.
Communities and Local Government as an organisation aims to be as helpful as possible in the way it deals with requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. If, however, you are not satisfied with the way in which your request has been handled or the outcome, you may request an internal review within two calendar months of the date of this letter. Information about the Department's review procedures and how to apply for an internal review of your case is contained on the Department's website at
This also explains your right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision in the event that you remain dissatisfied following the authority's review.
If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
Yours sincerely,
