Dear A. Dignan
I am writing in response to your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.
The data you have requested has been tabulated for easier reading.
Please consider the following points when reading that data for context:
Qs 6-8 - this information cannot be readily obtained on the numbers of applications for court orders as this information will be held in the individual case notes of each child. Therefore what has been provided is the numbers of court orders actually issued rather than the numbers of applications.
Q13 - many children choose not to attend their reviews but to participate in other ways eg by putting their views on paper or discussing them beforehand with their social worker. The numbers of children who are deemed to have participated in their reviews is therefore much higher than the numbers given here.
