I am writing in response to your request for information received 26th July 2010 which has
been considered under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. You requested
the following information:
Can you provide me with a list of all the parliamentary Acts and pieces of legislation
governing the Royal Mail and its subsidiaries?
A central listing of all legislation that Royal Mail Group complies with is not held, however
we were able to gather information regarding some of the parliamentary Acts and
legislation which governs Royal Mail Group in relation postal services and diversity, and this
has been included as Annex 1 to this letter. Our website,
www.royalmailgroup.com also
holds some information regarding these pieces of legislation. Royal Mail Group of course
always seeks to comply with all Parliamentary Acts and legislation applying to the company.
I hope that the information provided is useful to you. If for any reason you are not satisfied
with this response, you do have the right to request a review. If you wish to do so please
set out in writing your grounds of appeal and send to the Head of Information Compliance,
