Dear Sir,

Freedom of Information Act 2000

Request for Information: Cost Limit

Please quote our reference: E3210.

Subject: Section 106 agreement.

We write with regard to your recent enquiry for information held by the Council under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Under the Freedom of Information Act the Council has a right to refuse a request for information held if the cost of complying with a request exceeds the `appropriate limit'. The appropriate limit for local authorities is £450 as indicated by the Lord Chancellor.

Therefore, please advise whether you wish to narrow down the request so that the information you feel is essential can be supplied within the £450 limit.

In terms of the request for a copy of the full section 106, please advise that this is held on the Statutory Register and is available to view during office hours.

If you require any further information or are not happy with our response please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team on (020) 8430 3737 or email us at [Newham Borough Council request email].

If you are not satisfied with the decision, you may ask for an internal review via Newham Council Complaints Procedure. I enclose a copy of the procedure.

Yours Faithfully
