Dear Mrs Theis

Re: Freedom of Information Request: Allotments

1. Thank you for your email received on 7 July 2010 that has been passed to me to reply. Please find set out below my response to the issues raised in your letter.

2. I note that your letter is a request pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act and in the circumstances I can advise you as follows:

(b) However, under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the right of access is to the information and not the document.

I have set out responses to each element of your request below;

  1. What land for allotments or growing spaces, both private and public, have you requested in the last 5 years? - None

  1. From the land requested in the last 5 years, what land has not been put into use for your residents to grow on? - None

  1. How many planning applications do you currently have which could be used to make a Section 106 requirement for land to grow on? - None where this is being considered

  1. What targets are in place to increase the use of Section 106 to provide more land for your residents to grow on? - None

  1. What is currently being done in your borough to provide alternative land for residents to grow on ? - Some consideration is being given to this within the Manton area of Worksop. This is being lead by the Manton community Alliance.

If you are dissatisfied with the Freedom of Information response set out above, you are able to utilise the Council's Complaints Procedure, details of which are enclosed.
