5) What is currently being done in your borough to provide

alternative land for residents to grow on?

The draft Enfield Food Strategy has recently been published for consultation, and is available for comment at the following website: www.enfield.gov.uk/foodstrategy. One of the aims of the Strategy is to establish, maintain and protect community food-growing spaces. This includes identifying new urban growing sites in Partnership with Capital Growth. Schools, community groups and individuals who would like to produce their own food could also be supported. Annex 2 of the Food Strategy provides a 2-3 year rolling action plan which focuses on projects that will be taken forward in the short term, while the development plan in Annex 2 outlines projects that are being considered to meet the aims and objectives of the Food Strategy.
