Dear Julian
I refer to your e-mail of 26h June 2010 requesting information about the EPC privacy impact screening and assessment and documents relating to the release of personal data.
In my letter of 27 July, I said that I would be withholding responses to the questions set out in Chapter 2 of the Making Better Use of Data Consultation, until after the Summary of Responses had been published. In my letter of 13 August, I also explained that I would not release one response, which had been marked commercial-in-confidence, as per qualified exemption under section 40.
The Summary of Responses having now been published (see http://www.communities.gov.uk/publications/planningandbuilding/epceffectivenessresponses) I attach the remaining responses (redacted to remove personal information).
Communities and Local Government as an organisation aims to be as helpful as possible in the way it deals with requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. If, however, you are not satisfied with the way in which your request has been handled or the outcome, you may request an internal review within two calendar months of the date of this letter. Information about the Department's review procedures and how to apply for an internal review of your case can be found at http://www.communities.gov.uk/documents/corporate/pdf/1384250.pdf. This also explains your right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision in the event that you remain dissatisfied following the authority's review
Please contact me if you have any queries about this letter.
Yours sincerely,
Eve Martin
