Dear Mr Somerville

RE: Secondary School Budgets
|
|
Thank you for submitting a Freedom of Information request to London Borough of Lambeth, received on 19th April 2010. You requested information about Council and School budgets. My response will cover your request for:
The total budgets for 2008-09, 2009-10, and if possible 2010-11paid by Lambeth Council to each secondary school.
The breakdown of budgets for 2008-09, 2009-10, and if possible 2010-11 within the schools, for example Staff costs £400,000 Science £4000, Maths £3000, Gifted and Talented £1000 etc
The response on the remaining request, below, will be provided separately as this information is held by the Council's Corporate department:
The total budgets for 2008-09, 2009-10, and if possible 2010-11 for each council directorate, for example, Children & Young People's Service, Adult and Community Services, Office of the Chief
Executive etc
The table 1 shows the s52 budget shares for the 3 years 2008/09 -2010/11.
The authority does not hold any information on the detailed schools budgets showing curriculum costs as school are only required to submit budgets in the DCSF consistent reporting format under the main categories of staff, accommodation, learning resources & other. However I have summarised in table 2 the actual spend reported by the secondary schools for the financial years 2008/09 and 200/10 (provisional) under the CFR categories. If you still require the information curriculum budgets you will have to individually contact each school as the local authority does not hold this information
I trust that this information addresses your enquiry, however if you are dissatisfied with the way in which your Freedom of Information request has been dealt with you can request an internal review by emailing: [email address] (please quote the reference number above) or
by writing to:
