FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 1716/2008

I write in connection with your request for information dated 29 September 2008. I note you seek access to the following information:

Please could you provide me with the number of aggravated burglaries that have occurred in the Worsley area of Salford, whereby the thieves have targeted a property for the owner's car keys, in the last 2year period.

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within Greater Manchester Police to locate information relevant to your request. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Greater Manchester Police.

A search has been undertaken on our Crime Recording system specifically for offences of `Aggravated Burglary'. I can confirm that there has been 12 Aggravated Burglaries within the beat that covers the Worsley area. In 2 of these offences car keys were stolen.
