Dear Mr Schiller,

Thank you for your e-mail dated 4 May 2008 requesting information in relation to the appeal referred to as PC Appeal No 70 of 1997.

It is not clear from your request what information you believe that the Home Office holds. I should explain that the Home Office does not hold records of police investigations nor of appeals undertaken by other Government Departments or other organisations; any requests for information owned by them would need to be addressed to the relevant police force, Government Department or organisation concerned.

However, if you believe that the Home Office does hold the information you are seeking, it would be helpful if you would provide further details so that we are able to identify it.
