  Could you please describe in more detail what these items of 
     
 spending refer to?’’ 
 
Your request for information has been considered under the Freedom of Information 
Act 2000 (‘’FOIA’’).  
 
Please find below the information requested:  
   
P28 S040518 ECGD - This heading refers to the Departmental Expenditure Limit 
(DEL) for ECGD. It represents the total administration costs of the Department. DEL 
excludes any income which the Department earns. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

P28 S040513 GEFCO - expenditure on loan re-financing - Details of GEFCO can 
be found on page 108 of the Departments Annual Review and Resource Accounts 
2008-09 available on ECGD’s website. The heading quoted refers to the costs of 
refinancing through GEFCO and may exclude the income from the same source.  
 
P28 S040505 Fixed rate export finance (FREF) - This represents the cost to ECGD 
of providing FREF on behalf of export customers including arrangements for capital 
market funding of these loans and of interest rate swap arrangements. The heading 
may represent the cost of providing FREF without showing the income.
