Traffic Management Plan - Cliffhanger 2008 Event, Millhouses Park
Discussions have taken place with SCC Highways Department who have no concerns about the event taking place at Millhouses Park. We accept that there will be inconvenience and will deal with this by taking the following actions.
Road Coning - on Dobcroft Road, first and last 25m to assist bus and traffic access, with coned passing points along the road.
Parking Services - regular checks around Millhouses to deal with parking offences.
Park and ride facility from Tesco, Abbeydale Road - 200 parking spaces and shuttle bus to event every 10 minutes.
Park and ride facility to be adequately sign posted, and promoted on publicity including flyers, website and press releases.
Public Transport - Extra publicity on buses and bus stops, to increase visitors by bus.
Website and publicity promoting bus and train services.
Promotion of train facility to Dore Station.
Car Sharing - promoted on publicity and website
On site Bicycle Park - promoted on publicity material and website
Parking passes for bowling club
