Dear Dutch Antaris
Freedom of Information request 08/0113
Thank you for your email message of 4 April in response to my letter of 27 March about any communications between the Department and the Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) regarding the blocking of Child Abuse Content.
You say that you find it difficult to believe that BERR has had zero contact with ISPA regarding the matter of blocking child abuse content. However, as the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) was specifically set up with the support of the industry and Government to address child abuse images on the Internet, it is that body which would take forward this issue with the ISPA and not BERR. The Department therefore does not hold any information on the subject of your information request of 26 February.
Further information on the work of the IWF may be obtained from the their website http://www.iwf.org.uk/ or by writing to The Internet Watch Foundation, East View, 5 Coles Lane. Oakington, Cambridge, CB24 3BA.

If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
