I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Request dated the 16th March 
2010. 
 
As I understand it you are requesting to know: 
 
1.  What was the 'payoff' remuneration package for the last exiting chief exec D 
Leatham? 
 
The amount received by Mr Leatham was published at the time Mr Leatham left the 
Council’s employment in April 2007.  Mr Leatham received a payment £74,483.92 
and details of this were published on 25/04/07 in the Local Government Chronicle. 
 
2.   Is there any terms of the current Chief Exec that prescribe an exit payment? If 
so what is this clause and the amount? 
 
There are no terms in the current Chief Executive’s contract of employment that 
prescribe an exit payment.
