Wednesday – look at the participant list, it’s a great group of
people and would be enhanced by your involvement!

It would be so good if we could have a participant from among your
Heads of Service on the 2010 programme. Any barriers or sticking points
we need to overcome?
On another matter, I’d like you to consider coming on to our Advisory
Group for the Mid Scotland programme area? Trisha will send you the
current list of Advisory Group members – you’d be a great addition
to the Group and it’s only 4 short (2 hour) meetings per year. I
think I said that George Thomson of VDS has also been invited?

We are now taking applications for the 2010 Glasgow Metropolitan,
Edinburgh & Lothians, Aberdeen City & Shire, and Mid Scotland leadership
development courses. Common Purpose deals with real life issues and
insights. We go beyond standard leadership models and learn instead from
the successes and failures of leaders from all sectors. Participants are
taken out of their familiar environment so that they examine, why, when
and how they lead.
Applications are also being taken for the 2010 Scotland
International-Navigator course (runs April to June) - for early career,
'emerging talent' individuals who need to understand more fully about
the challenges of change and leadership. Who will benefit by learning
from sectors and organisations other than their own, and by early
exposure to a diversity of leaders at the top of their fields from
across Scotland.
