Re: Freedom of Information Request 
I am writing in response to your emails on the 12th March 2010.  We have considered your 
requests under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  In your email you 
requested the following: 
 
1. the names and ranks/grades of all employees in your organisation's 
depot/centre Royal Mail depot/centre in Mandela Way, South London who have 
attended Common Purpose courses. 
 
2. the total expenditure by this depot/centre on Common Purpose courses for 
each year from 1997 to date together with a copy of the invoice for each 
Common Purpose course paid for by your organisation. 
 
3. the names and ranks/grades of all employees in your organisation's 
depot/centre in Camberwell, South London who have attended Common 
Purpose courses. 
 
4. the total expenditure by this depot/centre on Common Purpose courses for 
each year from 1997 to date together with a copy of the invoice for each 
Common Purpose course paid for by your organisation. 
 
5. the names and ranks/grades of all employees in your organisation's 
depot/centre Royal Mail depot/centre in  Nine  Elms  (South  East  London 
Regional Head Office) who have attended Common Purpose courses.

6. the total expenditure by this depot/centre on Common Purpose courses for

Common Purpose course paid for by your organisation. 
   
Following enquiries with our Capital Management Team who deal with any Invoicing for 
such courses, I can confirm that we have no record of any colleagues from these 
Depots/Mail Centres attending ‘Common Purpose’ courses.  
 
Further to this we have contacted the Managers at the above mentioned Depots/Mail 
Centres to see if any courses were arranged and attended independently. Once again I can 
confirm that there is no record of any colleagues from these Depots/Mail Centres attending 
‘Common Purpose’ courses. 
 
I hope that this information is useful to you.  If for any reason you are not satisfied with 
this response, you do have the right to request a review.  If you wish to do so please set 
out  in  writing  your  grounds  of  appeal  and  send  to  the  Head  of  Information  Compliance,
