I am writing to confirm that we hold information relevant to your request for information, made under 
the terms of the Freedom of Information Act (the Act) which we received on 09 March, 2010.  Your 
request is replicated below together with our response, for ease of reference: 
 
Your request: “I am seeking information on the total funding given by AWM to the National Council 
for Graduate Entrepreneurship over the past 5 financial years.  Can you please disclose total 
funding given to the organisation each year, broken down into individual projects, initiatives and/or 
events? 
 
 I also wish to establish any and all targets tied to any funding and whether these targets were met 
by the NCGE. For each project/event can you also please disclose the target number of students / 
graduates/individuals NCGE was to engage and the actual number engaged? 
      
 If possible, can you also please share any contracts, partnership documents and/or agreements 
between AWM and NCGE?” 
 
Our response:  
NCGE have contracted/delivered two projects utilizing Agency funding within the past five years, as 
below: 

1.  FY 2006/2007The International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (IEEP)  
Budget £4,000 claimed £4,000 
 

2. FY2009/10:NCGE 
 
Budget £70,000; claimed £70,000 
 
 
Project Output profiles/actual as follows: 
1.  FY2006/07: International Entrepreneurship 
 2 places on the first IEEP course funded; both filled. 
 

2. FY2009/10: 
NCGE 
Budget: 15 jobs created.  Actual:15 jobs created. 
Budget: 8 jobs safeguarded. Actual: 8 jobs safeguarded. 

 
Please refer to the attached the Grant Funding Agreement template for your information.  The 
actual agreement has not been released as it contains commercially sensitive information and is 
deemed to be exempt from disclosure under section 43 of the Act. We are obliged to carry out a 
public interest test and in this instance have decided that we should withhold the detailed 

 

information requested which could prejudice the commercial interests of the parties involved in the 
agreement.  There are no other partnership documents between the Agency and NCGE.
