FOI REQUEST RE: RATTLECHAIN LAGOON 
 
Thank  you  for  your  e-mail  of  19  June  2010  to  the  Agency  Helpline  requesting  information 
relating  to  the  Chemical  Hazard  Identification  &  Risk  Surveillance  (CHaIRS)  Group, 
specifically the final minutes of the group’s 6th and 7th meetings. As Secretary to the group this 
has been passed to me for reply.  
 
I  can  confirm  that  CHaIRS  has  yet  to  hold  its  7th  meeting,  as  the  May  2010  meeting  was 
postponed.  The  next  scheduled  meeting  of  ChaIRS  is  due  to  take  place  on  21  September. 
The agenda for that meeting has yet to be agreed.  
 
We note that we have already provided you1 with the draft minutes of the 6th CHaIRS meeting 
held in February. At the September meeting we will finalise the minutes of the 6th meeting. I 
can confirm that the Rattlechain lagoon incident was not discussed at the 6th meeting2.

If  you  are  not  content  with  the  outcome  of  the  internal  review,  you  have  the  right  to  apply

decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure provided by the Agency.  The
