Thank you for your email received on 23 February 2010 requesting that the following information be provided to you:
“Could you provide me with the i) policing costs ii) cleaning costs of the Republican Parade on the 21/02/10
This is the West of Scotland Band Alliance which proposed the following route: Shamrock Street, Scott Street, West Graham Street,Cowcaddens Road, North Hanover Street, Kyle Street, Baird Street,Royston Road, Glenbarr Street, Rhymer Street, Tharsis Street, Roystonhill, Rosemount Street

The Council is treating your request as a request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
On inspecting our records, it would appear that Glasgow City Council does not hold some of the information which you have requested. Neither does anyone else hold it on our behalf. Accordingly we are unable to comply with your request in full. The Council does not hold information regarding policing costs of the republican parade on 21 February 2010. This information is held by Strathclyde Police and is normally passed onto the Council on a yearly basis a few months after the end of the financial year. The Council also does not hold information regarding any costs passed onto the West of Scotland Band Alliance.

I can advise you that no additional resources or costs were incurred in respect of cleansing for this event.
