RE: Software Code for Air Transport Models
Dear Mr Todd,
Thank you for your request for information relating to the Department's aviation forecasting models, received on 23rd February 2010. The DfT reference for your request is E0006237. As the subject of your request falls within the definition of 'environmental information' as set out in Regulation 2 of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 ("the EIRs"), we have handled your request in accordance with that regime.
I am writing to advise you that the time limit for responding to your request needs to be extended.
The Regulations allow us 20 working days to respond to your request. However, it is occasionally necessary to extend the 20-working-day time limit for issuing a response. In this case, I regret that we must extend the time limit for responding by 20 working days because of the complex and voluminous nature of the request.
We now hope to let you have a response by 22nd April 2010. We will make every effort to meet that new deadline, however if there is any further delay I will keep you informed.
If you are unhappy with the way the Department has handled your request or with the decisions made in relation to your request you may complain within 40 working days of the date of this letter by writing to the Department's Information Rights Unit at:
