     Dear Sir or Madam,
    
     Please supply the following information under the Freedom of
     Information Act:
    
     1)The total number of people who were registered as homeless in
     2008. 

   Presentations 1/1/08 - 31/12/08 = 5285. 

   Acceptances  1/1/08 - 31/12/08 = 1514

   (These figures are from our statistical return to  Department for Communities and Local Government) 


     2) The total amount of funds allocated for any cause related to
     homelessness throughout all of the council's departments in 2008. 

   The total spend on households who's primary need was homelessness or rough sleeping in 2008 was £7,082,201
