Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the Act”) received on 19 
February 2010, seeking the following information:   
 
I would like to know the median salaries for permanent and fixed-term contract staff in the BBC's Future 
Media & Technology division for the following job titles: 
      
     - Senior Technologist 
     - Lead Technologist 
     - Principle Technologist 
      
Please note that I am seeking the salaries for these specific roles rather than the appropriate pay bands. 
  
Please find below median salaries for each of the roles you have requested, for staff employed on 
permanent or fixed-term contracts within Future Media & Technology as at 28 February 2010.  These 
figures are based on full-time equivalent salaries to take into account those staff who work part-time.
