Thank you for your recent enquiry, please see our response beneath the relevant question 
below. 
 
I would like to request a complete list of suppliers/contractors and consultants that have been 
used over the past year when procuring I.T hardware and the total spend on IT hardware 
during the past financial year. 
 
The suppliers below provide a range of hardware items ranging from computer equipment, 
servers, tapes to specialist display equipment.  The total spend on all aspects of IT hardware by 
the IT department for 2008/09 was Â£1,720,306 which constitutes 0.26% of the Council’s 
budget for the year.

There are a variety of contracts procured via the tender process, framework agreements and 
competitive quotation for smaller purchases.  These can involve a number of staff at varying 
levels whose role can include procurement of IT related equipment.  The focus for contracts is 
within our Procurement Team.
