Request for information - RFI 1254 
Thank you for your request for information received by the Commission on 8 February 2010. 
You asked for: 
‘what punishments and or sanctions exist to be used against senior council officers and 
councillors who ignore the Council's own Fraud and Irregularities policies, should a loss 
to the taxpayer/council taxpayer of several millions of pounds be caused by their 
actions?’ 
 
Your request has been handled in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FoIA). 
The Freedom of Information Act provides you with a right of access to recorded information held 
by the Commission.  The Commission does not hold any recorded information that would 
answer your request.   
Your request seems to be requesting advice regarding a hypothetical situation arising at a
