I write in connection with your request for information dated 6th February 2010, received by Nottinghamshire Police on 8th February 2010 and acknowledged by e-mail on8th February 2010.

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within Nottinghamshire Police to locate information relevant to your request.

RESPONSE

Under S 1 (1) (a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), I can confirm that Nottinghamshire Police does hold the information you have requested.

Driving at 50 mph through the 50 mph limited work areas on the M1 Motorway I find myself being overtaken by nearly every other vehicle.

How many prosecutions for exceeding the 50 mph limit through Nottinghamshire are there on an average week?

Since the installation of the speed cameras 16 months ago, the average weekly issue of Notices of Intended Prosecutions has been 89.
