Dear Mr Freeman,

Thank you for your request for information on the number of times Hertfordshire
Constabulary have attended searches under search warrants or search orders granted to TV
Licensing in the last year.

I am able to confirm that your request has been processed under the terms of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (FOI).

Following enquiries within the Constabulary I have been advised that the analyst has
searched through all incident logs created between 01/01/09 & 31/12/09 where TV licensing
has been stated in the text of the log (along with 'TV', and 'Licensing') and there are 3
incident logs recorded where officers have been requested to assist the TV licensing Officer
where Breach of Peace was expected or the TV Licensing officer had been assaulted in the
course of their duties.

I am unable to provide any further information in relation to search warrants granted to TV
Licensing as these are applied for at a magistrates' court and this information is not held by
Hertfordshire Constabulary.

Yours sincerely,

Alice Duarte
