I am writing in response to your email of 3 February 2010 to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly holds information regarding employee training records however, does not hold training information in respect of Members or their staff. In your request you asked for the following information: -

Please provide the following information:

Charity "Common Purpose"; meaning the training organisation of that

name:http://www.commonpurpose.org/home.aspx

  1. Name all Elected MLA's and staff who have attended a Common Purpose

course?

This information is not held. The Northern Ireland Assembly does not hold

training information in respect of Members or their staff unless training is

delivered or arranged through the Assembly's Learning and Development

Unit. No such arrangements have been made for attendance at any courses

provided by the training organisation Common Purpose.

2. Name all employees who have attended a Common Purpose course?

The Northern Ireland Assembly holds training records for employees but

has no record of attendance by any employee at any course provided by

the training organisation, Common Purpose.

3. How much money has been paid to this organisation?

No payments have been made by the Northern Ireland Assembly to the

training organisation Common Purpose.

4. Please provide copies of invoices/receipts.

No invoices or receipts relating to the training organisation Common

Purpose are held.

If you feel that the information we have provided does not meet your request fully please contact this office as soon as possible. You have the right to request a formal review by the Northern Ireland Assembly and if you wish to do so, please write to me at the above address.

If after such an internal review you are still unhappy with the response, you have the right to appeal to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF who will undertake an independent review.
