1. Who is responsible for enforcing advanced stop lines? 
 
Road markings come under the Road Traffic Act which Police officers enforce. 
 
 
2. If police are responsible for enforcing advanced stop lines how many 
penalties/tickets/warnings have been issued by West Midlands police to motor 
vehicles for this offence since January 2009? If possible can this be broken 
down by month and location? 
 
Our Central Ticket Office can find no records of any tickets being issued for this 
offence since January 2009.
