Dear Mr Grant
Request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Thank you for your email received on 28 January 2010 requesting that the following information be provided to you:
“Can you please advise if there is a central resource where all TMO's (Traffic Management Orders) can be read and reviewed by the general public - during office hours?
A list of locations where these documents can be reviewed and and times of access would be appreciated.
A limited number of TMO's can be viewed via the GCC website, however this is seldom comprehensive and there are many omissions from the Council's web search tools.”
I can advise you that the Freedom of Information Act allows people to access all types of recorded information, provided no exemptions apply. The questions you are asking are not looking for recorded information and therefore we are unable to answer them under Freedom of Information.
However I can advise you that any road orders that are out for consultation are available for inspection at the City Chambers, front door reception, George Square, Glasgow, G2 1DU.
If you are interested in viewing a previous road order and you know the exact title of the order, you would need to contact Committee Services on 0141 287 4516 direct and they will look out the particular road order you are interested In. It is preferred that you call in advance. This is because road orders are kept in the safes and need to be retrieved due to lack of space within the office. They can either arrange for you to view the order or if possible email a copy to you.
If you do not know the name of the order we would suggest that you contact Scott Downie 0141 287 9351 from Land and Evironmental Services direct to ask him for the full details prior to contacting Committee Services.
I hope this is of assistance to you.
Yours sincerely
Ayshea Brown
