I am writing to confirm that the Cabinet Office has now completed its search for the information which you requested on 28 January 2010.

You requested the following information:

  1. A list of the suppliers involved in the delivery of Data.gov.uk;

  2. A copy of each contract entered into with each of those Suppliers

  3. The value of each contract entered into with each of those Suppliers

  4. The total cost of the project to date, broken down in as much

detail as possible.

The development of Data.gov.uk has been done in conjunction with the National Archives, Directgov (part of DWP) and the Central Office of Information as a cross government project. Any element of the work that may have required the use of external suppliers will be subject to contracts with those departments, the information is not held by the Cabinet Office. Please contact relevant departments for further information.

The information supplied to you continues to be protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You are free to use it for your own purposes, including any non-commercial research you are doing and for the purposes of news reporting. Any other re-use, for example commercial publication, would require the permission of the copyright holder. Most documents supplied by the Cabinet Office will have been produced by government officials and will be Crown Copyright.
