Request under Freedom of Information Act 2000

Thank you for your request for information regarding dental information which we received on 25^th January.

I am pleased to enclose some of the information you requested.

My sincere apologies for the lateness of this response.

1 There are 20 contracts in Pembrokeshire including the Out of Hours contract. These contracts are run from 17 practices.

2 Details of gross income can be found at:

http://www.bsc.wales.nhs.uk/Index_eng.asp

and under the `New on Line' section it lists `Payments for NHS Primary Care Dental Services - Wales April 2007 to March 2008'

3 The Health Board contracts with the provider who can subcontract with performers within the contract. I am able to obtain details of the number of performer dentists attached to each contract if required but this would not be on a whole time equivalent basis.

4 I am unable to release information on the number of UDAs achieved by practice but a total of 72,413 UDAs were achieved in 2007/08 and 112,685 UDAs were achieve in 2008/09.

5 I am unable to provide individual UDA rates but there is a variance between the UDA rates across practices but the Health Board has an average UDA rate of £25.68 for 2009/10.
