Dear Mr Elibank
Freedom of Information Request F2010-019
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 20 January 2010. You asked for the following information:
Do you hold electronic, hi-resolution photographs of all your ministers? (Perhaps the ones on their security-passes?)
If 'yes', under what circumstances would you consider releasing any or all of the said photos to the public?
I can confirm that DFID does hold electronic hi resolution photographs of our ministers and that some of these are already publicly available through the following internet link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dfid/sets/72157623043517550/
We do hold other hi resolution photographs and would consider any request to release them under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Crown Copyright licensing arrangements, details of which are in the following link to our website: http://www.dfid.gov.uk/About-DFID/Finance-and-performance/Access-to-Information1/
If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me, quoting F2010-019.
If you are unhappy with the service we have provided and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision, please write to Openness Unit at the address shown above or email [DFID request email]
If you do make a complaint and are not content with the outcome, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted DFID's complaints procedure. You can contact the Information Commissioner at the following address:
The Information Commissioner's Office,
Wycliffe House,
Water Lane,
Wilmslow,
Cheshire,
SK9 5AF
Yours sincerely
John McGinn
