Fitness for Practice Regulations

Whilst the introduction to the regulations clearly stipulates the need to ensure fitness for practice in given professions, particularly those involving work with children or the vulnerable, it is thought that the wording of the regulations might merit review to ensure a more sensitive phrasing of the requirements. This could be addressed in the next review of the regulations.

Review language and terminology used to ensure we clearly articulate our overriding duty of care, without unwittingly using language that might cause offence to individuals.
