All data is taken from UCAS Datasets for full-time degree students entering in 2004. NMAS and GTTR do not produce such data so analysis at this level is not possible for PGCE or Diploma Nursing students.

That said there are specific initiatives in place to try to overcome gender barriers to the professions, e.g. taster courses to attract Males into Primary Teacher Training courses.
