**Under the section Assessment, H6.1 Students With Disabilities and/or Learning Difficulties, page 29 states that “The University supports the operation of appropriate special arrangements for students undertaking assessment including timed examinations (see Appendix 15 {see separate Equality Impact Assessment}) where a valid claim has been made an agreed by an Assessment Modifications Panel in accordance with the relevant procedures”
Academic Registry has a separate document entitled: REQUEST FOR EXAMINATION and TEST MODIFICATIONS which clearly outlines
Page 33 H.10.3 states “(a) disability and or a learning difficulty does not in itself constitute a mitigating circumstance. Appropriate special arrangements will have been agreed in these instances where justified.
