Inspection conducted of sludge processing and odour abatement plant. Joint inspection conducted with Neil Martin Wyre
BC EHO of WwTw outside permitted installation boundary.
Odour noticed when entered site, odour detected around HGV parked outside sludge processing building. Informed
treatment manager of odour suspected to be from sludge processing plant. Informed by treatment manager that the
odour was attributed to the parked HGV carrying sludge cake. No odour noticed at the site entrance gate, de odouriser
system in operation around sludge processing building.
No sludge processed during inspection due to low volume of sludge from the waste water treatment process.
Please note that compliance with improvement conditions IP3 is required by the 30/04/08.
Part 6 of the Programme Delivery Plan includes a 'finalised OMP to be included as part of the PPC permit' as wel as 'agreed
odour monitoring, measurement and reporting process to meet requirements of the OMP / PPC Permit conditions.' Please
submit this information as soon as possible.
Requested regular updates from the treatment manager of progress with the programme delivery plan to be sent via e-
mail so that any progress can be tracked, assessed and compliance assessed against the permit.
