Dear Mr. Grant,
REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (SCOTLAND) ACT 2002
I refer to your request dated 13 February 2010 requesting that certain information be provided to you.
Dear Customer Care Centre,
The deadline for responding to my FoI request has passed and I note there has been no response.
Before I make a formal request for an internal review, perhaps you could advise whether your response will be received within the course of the next few days?
Your email of the 13 February 2010 has been allocated a new reference number as above. This is in effect an enquiry in respect to a Freedom of Information request, reference FOI2806942, submitted by you on the 17 January 2010. The closing date for the Freedom of Information request FOI2806942 is the 15 February 2010, so you are incorrect to suggest that the deadline for this request has passed.
A formal response to FOI2806942 is being prepared and will be issued to you later today.
You are correct that you can ask the Council to review the way in which we have dealt with your original request. Should you wish to initiate a review I have provided you with the necessary details below.
If you are dissatisfied with the way Glasgow City Council has dealt with your request foi2806942 you are entitled to require the Council to review its decision. Please note that for a review to take place you must:
Lodge a written requirement for a review within 40 working days of the date of this letter
Include a correspondence address and a description of the original request and the reason why you are dissatisfied
Address your request to the Executive Director of Corporate Services:
The Executive Director of Corporate Services
Glasgow City Council
City Chambers
George Square
Glasgow G2 1DU
Email: [email address]
You will receive notice of the results of the review within 20 working days of receipt of your request. The notice will state the decision reached by the reviewing officer as well as details of how to appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner if you are still dissatisfied with the Council's response. You must request an internal review by the Council before a complaint can be directed to the Scottish Information Commissioner.
The Council accordingly has complied with your request. If, however, you are of the opinion that this is not the case please contact my Office Manager, Jim Donaldson at the telephone number detailed above.
Yours sincerely
Robert Booth
