Dear L. Lluva,
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION REGULATIONS 2004
We refer to your email, received at our office on 14 January 2010, requesting the following
information:
"With regard to the LDA (Lower Lea Valley, Olympic and Legacy)Compulsory Purchase Order
2005, can you please provide me with the following information for 'the order land' numbered
16 to 51 inclusive in the Order:
1. The name of the freeholder/leaseholder (unless this is a physical person, where this
information is not required)
2. The 'order land' number (between 16 and 51 inclusive)
3. Total payment made to the freeholder/leaseholder in respect of land value
4. Total payment made to the freeholder/leaseholder in respect of compensation
5. Any other payment made in relation to the CPO order (excepting professional fees to any
lawyer, or any fee to the Land Registry)"
Duty to Confirm or Deny
We confirm that we do hold information of the description specified in your request.
Information Held
In response to questions 1 and 2 of your request, please see below a link to the document
entitled, ‘Confirmed Lower Lea Valley, Olympic and Legacy Compulsory Purchase Order
2005’ – Part 1, which provides the plot numbers together with details of the freeholders and
leaseholders for plots 16 – 51 inclusive:
http://www.lda.gov.uk/upload/pdf/confirmed__Lower_Lea_Valley_Olympic_and_Legacy_CPO
_2005__Part_1.pdf
Please see below a table which provides information pertaining to total payments made to
freeholders and total compensation payments made to leaseholders, where cases have been
settled, of the plot numbers listed in your request.
Please note that where plot numbers do not appear this is because they are part of cases that
are in the process of being settled and therefore information regarding total payments is not
held.
Please also note that there may be additional freeholders linked to the plots listed in the table
below. They have not been included either because a total payment is not available as their
case has not been settled, or they have not received a payment for their interest in the land,
for example in one instance, the freeholder of the plot is the LDA itself. You can obtain details
of any additional freeholders from the document linked to above.
You may be interested to note, and will see from the document linked to above, that the
majority of the plot numbers referred to in your request involve cases where there are multiple
plots in the same ownership. You will also note that there are a number of plot numbers which
cover areas of public roads and footways and therefore no payments will be made in relation
to these plot numbers.
