Dear Mr Thackeray

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST 4818

I am sorry for the delay in my response. Your requests for information has now been considered but your request for information will not be processed.

This is because the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the “appropriate limit” as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004. There were 868 properties receiving Mandatory Relief but we are unable to identify on our system those organisations that do not meet the criteria you have detailed in your request. Therefore we would have to examine each account individually and then review its position. I have estimated that it would take a minimum of 15 minutes to review each record and this would allow four records to be examined per hour. Therefore at an hourly rate of £25 it is estimated that it would cost £5431.25 to comply with your request.

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 this letter acts as a Refusal Notice.

I apologise that your request cannot be met but if you have any further information needs in the future then please do not hesitate to contact the Council. You will find the Council's Web site a great source of information about our operations and services. http://www.westminster.gov.uk/

If you have any queries please contact me.
